World of Warcraft is a game that is constantly evolving.Advanced game play topics such as min/maxing, rotation, talents, and builds will NOT be covered by this guide. This guide serves purely as a starting point for new or returning players.Since this is a guide designed to help YOU decide what class will be best for YOU to play, I will do my best to ensure that this guide stays free of bias and only provide the information as it is.However, before we get started with finding your class, there are some disclaimers that I would like to make: The purpose of this guide is to assist YOU, my fellow heroes and adventurers, in finding the class in World of Warcraft that YOU will enjoy playing. If you answered "Yes" to either of the above questions, then this guide is for you!Ĭhoosing your class in World of Warcraft can be one of the most important and time consuming decisions a player ever makes. However, anyone who doesn't ever do this clearly misses out on a completely different challenging experience the developers meant us to experience. Are you a New player ready to explore the world of Azeroth and beyond, but don't know what class to play?Īre you a RETURNING player who is just coming back to WoW after being gone on a long hiatus and feel lost on what class you should play? There is nothing that stops someone who has played the game solo from experiencing everything the game has to offer. The existence of the Solo, Tripple Crown Solo, and Frozen Crown Solo achievements should make this very clear.Īlso, Just because someone completes the game solo doesn't mean they'll never complete it with a party as well. Solo and Party based play were both clearly in the minds of the developers, as proven by the code of said developers. Your apparent ESP, that "It's a party based game in the mind of the developers", is clearly misread. As it is the most challenging of all tasks and the presence of a party really diminishes the need for individual strength assessment, I would argue that this guide is actually far more needed than one based on party play. It is very obvious that the developers intended on people actually trying to accomplish this task. Those achievements are the hardest to obtain achievements in the game. The game has multiple achievements that are based on solo play. You miss a lot of system complexity and class synergies then. It's a party based game in the mind of the developers. PoE is a party based game, even if it allows solo play.Ī class should not be assessed based only on its ability to solo. Originally posted by smilehigh:Only 0,3% of players completed the game in solo mode. It caters to very specific subgroup of people who value achievements. Not to argue with you, but while the fight is mandatory for "The Ultimate", the achievement itself is not mandatory for players. And usually those videos feature sections where the character gets into trouble and only survives out of sheer luck and because of gulping potions. Most of the time, if people show off "PotD solo builds" in a video, they only send into a battle a level 16 character using best equipment. Here's a video I once linked about someone using a rogue: Lots of kiting and healing may be required. And depending on class, the fight isn't trivial. And by the time you're able to do it solo its rewards may be considered negligible too as at this point you can win every fight in the game without them. The fight is mandatory if going for the mentioned "The Ultimate" achievement. In other words don't brag about killing dragons if you can't beat the boars when you first encounter them. This is by all means viable, but making a universal rating of classes based on it is not clever. Such gameplay also requires metaknowledge. Yet you have to either ignore half of the early game encounters or kite, split-pull and use other cowardly and tedious tactics to survive. Your rating is based on solo play, max level and late game equipment. And by the time you're able to do it solo its rewards may be considered negligible too as at this point you can win every fight in the game without them. There is no need to do the bog dragon fight either, it's optional. I thought you were talking about difficulty, challenge and "hard fights". There is no need to do every fight right away if you can just skip it. Otherwise, you could just play solo and group would be even easier.
